Ogden, Utah, October 2007 – Setpoint Systems, Inc., an automation manufacturing firm, successfully completed work on a major manufacturing production line for one of our customers.
The engineers at Setpoint were able to work with the customer to determine which processes most needed to be automated to reduce repetitive processes, improve the ergonomics of each process and provide a more consistent quality product using Toyota Production methodologies.
After auditing the production processes Setpoint provided automated machines for eight out of the twelve stations in the manufacturing and assembly sequence. Each machine was designed to perform work in a consistent, reliable manner and then built to customers’ specifications. Taking manual processes and successfully automating them was critical to the success of the ramp up in production of the product over the last 18 months.
“Setpoint collaborated with our customer and was able to combine our depth of experience with theirs. As a result the manufacturing production line was designed according to the needs and wants of the safety, quality, and production departments of the customer as well as built to meet robust production demands,” said Roger Thomas, VP of Operations.
