Ogden, Utah, January 2009 – Setpoint Systems, a lean automation integration firm, made a contribution to the Ogden Nordic organization to create a Master Trail Venue in Northfork Park. The funds will go towards grooming and maintaining the trails from November to April.
The trails that Ogden Nordic maintains provide a place where families and children of all ages can go and cross country ski through the pristine flagged and marked trails of Northfork Park.
“By creating sustainable venues for recreation in our area we are providing a place for those who work for us and those we work with to relax and reconnect with nature” says Joe Knight, the CFO at Setpoint. Setpoint first began supporting Ogden Nordic in 2002 because it supports the community and goals of the greater Ogden area.
“When The Nordic Utah Alliance approached Setpoint for sponsorship in the development and maintenance of cross country ski trails in Weber County’s North Fork Park Setpoint was glad to help out. Setpoint’s families have been visiting the park for years and I have been awed at how accessible the beauty of the mountains and wildlife are to metro Ogden. Most people visit in the summer months I thought TUNA’s plan to boost winter time accessibility was outstanding. We have continued to sponsor TUNA because of the responsible way the volunteers have leveraged the donations to grow a fantastic winter asset for the community” says Joe Cornwell a founder of Setpoint.
