Ogden, Utah, November 2009—Setpoint Systems, Inc., an industrial automation integration firm, is sponsoring the winner and the two runners-up from the recent Concept to Company Contest held at Weber State University. As a part of the consulting services available to these winners, Setpoint will be providing engineering services.
The Concept to Company Contest is sponsored by Grow Utah Ventures, Zions’s Bank, USTAR, Workman Nydegger, Ballard Spahr and CFO Solutions. This winner from this years contest was Sam Hunter with his new Infinity Pedal for bicyclists. “The quality and innovativeness of the entrepreneurs’ ideas was impressive,” says Brad Angus, CEO of Setpoint Systems, Inc. With runner-up winners MFD Roslyn ski binding adaptors and Other Planet Skate Trucks for skateboards “these three entrepreneurs will be able to take their ideas and bring them to market creating growth and providing new and innovative ideas that will spur the next round of entrepreneurs.
The Outdoor Rec ’09 Concept to Company contest works to expand Utah’s Outdoor Recreation Industry by providing all sports-minded entrepreneurs with a way to receive some recognition and obtain funding if needed.
