Ogden, Utah, March 2008 – Setpoint Systems, a lean automation integration firm, is offering educational tours for junior high, high school and college students. Setpoint brings practical applications of math and engineering into reality allowing students to see design and controls engineering from concept to production.
The students from the MESA (Math Engineering Science Achievement) club at Roy Junior High School toured the facility learning more about the applications of math, design and engineering. The MESA program is part of a nationwide effort to introduce students to the diversity of careers within the math and science fields.
Clark Carlile, VP of Sales & Marketing at Setpoint, started the tour with a brief introduction to the history of Setpoint. He said that “with the increasing demand for engineers in our state we wanted to start encouraging students to consider engineering as a degree by showing them what career opportunities are available in our area.”
